Jimmy Johnny - a Na-Cho Nyak Dun elder, longtime guide, and outspoken advocate for the land - has won the Gerry Couture Stewardship Award.

The Gerry Couture Stewardship award fosters public awareness of, and appreciation for, the personal dedication required to conserve and manage the Yukon's natural resources. The award consists of a Gerry Couture Stewardship Medal and a $1000 prize. Deadline for nominations is Nov. 7. Click here to learn more.

With an election slated for November 7th, the Yukon Conservation Society and CPAWS Yukon are making sure that Yukon voters know where the political parties stand on the environment when they cast their votes.
