Free guided hikes are now over for 2016. Thanks to all who participated.

For over 20 years, YCS has been running free guided hikes in the Whitehorse area. Join us this summer for a hike to Canyon City!

From June 11 to August 20, join us at 10 AM or 2 PM Tuesday through Saturday for a walk through the natural history and heritage of the Canyon. Meet at Miles Canyon suspension bridge for a 2-hour, 3.5km round-trip hike from the bridge to historic Canyon City and back. Along the way, learn about the area's First Nations and Gold Rush history, the geology of the canyon and surrounding areas, local plants, wildlife, conservation, and more. Hikes are free and open to all ages.

Please come prepared for a gentle hike with good walking shoes. Dress for the weather and bring your own water and snacks.

Call 668-5678 or check our hikes page for more information about themed hikes and Kids' Ed-Ventures throughout the summer.
