Media Advisory - Off Road Vehicle Legislation

In- Person News Conference Invitation

When: Thurs, Feb. 4th   1:30 PM  - venue open at 1:00 pm for set-up and sound checks

Where: Kwanlin Dun Centre Multipurpose Room

Topic: Response to the ORV Management Regulations

Who: Trails Only Yukon Association (TOYA) and a number of other Conservation and Tourism groups including:

Yukon Conservation Society (YCS), Yukon Fish and Game Association (YFGA), Yukon Outfitters Association (YOA), Canadian Parks and Wilderness Association (CPAWS), Tourism Industry Association (TIA), Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), Wilderness Tourism Association (WTAY). 

 

Covid Protocols:  Venue follows approved covid protocols, is a large space and can accommodate up to 30 people. Media and participants will be met in the lobby for short covid questionnaire before entering Multipurpose room. Masks required.

 

News Conference Specifics

Each participant will have a mic so media can hear them
Media can plug in their equipment in a console at the back
Each participant will give a short, prepared response to the ORV Management Initiative followed by a question period from media representatives
Good opportunity for video and pictures 
There will be a media packet and press release available after responses and question time.
