Harvey Locke: Nature Needs Half - Conservation in the 21st Century, from Yukon to Yellowstone: Tues. Apr. 24, 7:30pm, Yukon Arts Centre, admission by donation
The Friends of McIntyre Creek are hosting global conservation leader Harvey Locke for a talk about the Yukon's place in large-scale conservation efforts.

Contaminated Sites Waterfront Walk: Sat. May 5, 10 am-12 pm, meet at the KalTire bus stop (intersection of Quartz Rd. and Industrial Rd.), Whitehorse
Join Mining Analyst Lewis Rifkind on an informative walk from the Marwell tar pit along the Whitehorse Waterfront. This ONE-WAY WALK will end at the Yukon Public Library.

Garden Box Project: Soil Filling: Wed. May 9, 5-7 pm, YCS (302 Hawkins St.)
Help move a bunch of soil into garden boxes and prep them for planting later in May!

Yukon Bird Club Birdathon: Fri. May 25 – Sat. May 26, 5pm – 5pm (24 hours), meet at YCS
This year YCS will have an ‘enviro’ team – we’ll be birding without vehicles. Contact Julia to sign up!

Garden Box Project: Gardening 101 + Planting: Late May (TBA), 5-7pm, YCS
Plant seeds and learn about gardening in the Yukon.

BBQ and Storytelling: Fri. Sept. 7, 5-7pm, YCS
Gather in the YCS yard to share stories from our 50-year history.

50th Anniversary Celebration: Sat. Nov. 17, evening, Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre, Whitehorse
Join us to celebrate 50 years of YCS history and look ahead to 2068! There’ll be food, music, dancing, and friends new and old.
